Nourishing the Need (2)

Nourishing the Need is a new blog feature that will be posted here every week. This will be a way for me to talk anything about books. It will be broken up into sections so that it's a bit more organized (at least I hope so!)

Book Covers:

The Ghost of Crutchfield Hall by Mary Dawning Hahn
The cover honestly creeps me out but for some reason I like it. The picture looks old fashioned and I'm obsessed about those kind of pictures. Another thing that I like is the blood that is one the picture.

Matched by Ally Condie
The cover seems sort of plain but I like it. Especially the dress! I like the color that they used on the dress and the inside of the circle. And the fact that she's inside the sphere.

Book Finds:

Forget You by Jennifer Echols
I read the summary of it and I really liked it! It seems interesting and something that I haven't read before. I really like how she can't remember the night of her accident. Can't wait to read it!

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
This seems like a very unique story. It talks about the stories of Edgar Allen Poe and I really like the weird and not normal things he wrote. Also, I really like the stories were the main characters are totally opposite from each other. And I really like the cover!

What do you think about the covers?

  1. They all look great, but I'm only interested in a few of them.

  2. I love the cover for Matched. It's both unique and simple at the same time.

  3. While I like the cover of Nevermore I don't think I would enjoy the book as much as I will probably like Forget You. I love the cover of Forget You and Matched and plan to read both of them. The Ghost of Crutchfield Hall has an interesting cover but it would appeal more to adults rather than teens with its old fashioned style.

  5. Matched "plain"? I am SO in love with that cover! :) I guess it is somewhat simple in regards to amount of content, but I think that adds to its beauty and intrigue. SO excited for that book. I hadn't heard of Ghost of Crutchfield Hall. Looks interesting!
