Waiting on Wednesday (18)

Title: Sweet Evil
Author: Wendy Higgins
Release Date: May 1st 2012

Goodreads Summary: What if there were teens whose lives depended on being bad influences? This is life for sons and daughters of fallen angels in Sweet Evil.

Tenderhearted Southern girl, Anna Whitt, was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage, and her will-power is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

A cross-country trip to meet her father forces Anna to face the reality that hope and love are not options for her kind. When she confronts her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

I've been seeing really good things about this one which has slowly but surely made me excited for this book! It seems to be something different on fallen angels and their children. There is also a cross-country trip which something I enjoy reading!

Here's the trailer for it!

Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter

Title: Out of Sight, Out of Time
Author: Ally Carter
Pages: 294
Published: March 2012
Rating: 5/5
Synopsis: The last thing Cammie Morgan remembers is leaving the Gallagher Academy to protect her friends and family from the Circle of Cavan--an ancient terrorist organization that has been hunting her for over a year. But when Cammie wakes up in an alpine convent and discovers months have passed, she must face the fact that her memory is now a black hole. The only traces left of Cammie’s summer vacation are the bruises on her body and the dirt under her nails, and all she wants is to go home.

Once she returns to school, however, Cammie realizes that even the Gallagher Academy now holds more questions than answers. Cammie, her friends, and mysterious spy-guy Zach must face their most difficult challenge yet as they travel to the other side of the world, hoping to piece together the clues that Cammie left behind. It’s a race against time. The Circle is hot on their trail and willing stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer.

My Thoughts: Cammie has woken up in a place that she doesn't know and has no idea how she got there. After getting back to school without any memory of what she did over the summer she will start to put together the pieces of flashbacks and evidence that she gets to know what she did. Over the course of the book she will learn things that she may want to forget about.

We start off in the same place as Cammie without knowing anything of what happened during her summer. Everyone that she talks to someone they tell her it's best to leave it alone but of course she doesn't listen to them and starts looking for answers. She develops as a character and I really liked how she reacted to a certain thing that happened. There were a lot of mysteries that she didn't know and went on a mission to know them and also know herself.

I have to say that this was the darkest book in all. Comparing it to the first book which was light and with a boyfriend problem this was more a story of the darker secrets that we have been learning about. Things start to get clearer with the answer of why the Circle of Cavan has been wanting Cammie. And that end? Intense! Seeing how they figured things out was interesting since we were seeing things from Cammie's point of view.

For me this was the best book out of all five. We finally get answers to some of the questions that have been going on for a while. If you haven't read this series you really should. All the books have gotten better and everything that happens keeps you reading until you finish the book. Definitely a great book! =)

Books of Before (1)

Books of Before is going to be random books that I want to read and are available to read whenever I want to. They could have been published last week or last year or even more! =)

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Why: A lot of people seem to love this book and seeing their love for it and its sequal makes me want to read even more.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Why: I have heard of a lot of people reading this book and it's gotten to the point where I just need to read it so I know something about it. I know people either loved it or hated it so I want to know in what side I'm in.

Evernight by Claudia Gray

Why: This is one of those books that I have always wanted to read but for some reason or another I haven't read. Now that all the books are available I should probably read them soon.

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Why: This is one that I think I would really enjoy reading during the summer and hope I can actually get the chance to see if I agree with others or not, especially since a lot seem to enjoy it.

13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

Why: She gets to go to London! The idea of following what the envelopes says to do and going on an adventure is something that I would like to read about.

Have you read any of these? If you did, what did you think of it?
