Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors

Title: Coffeehouse Angel
Author: Suzanne Selfors
Published: 2009
Pages: 276
Rating: 3.5/5
Summary: When Katrina spots a homeless guy sleeping in the alley behind her grandmother's coffee shop, she decides to leave him a cup of coffee, a bag of chocolate-covered coffee beans, and some pastries to tide him over. Little does she know that this random act of kindness is about to turn her life upside down. The adorable "vagrant" is actually a real guardian angel on a break between missions, and he simply won't go away until he can reward Katrina's selflessness. . . .

Review: I enjoyed the feeling of this book. I think that it was a good choice for me to read after The Sweet Far Thing.

It's about a girl who does something good for someone that she finds sleeping outside of her grandmother's coffeehouse. The person insist that he needs to reward her for what she did. The story is basically of how Malcolm tries to reward Katrina and each time something happens so that she isn't rewarded.

At times I liked reading from Katrina's point of view but at others I wished that I wasn't. Sometimes she seemed like she needed someone else to do things and never tried to do anything for herself. Towards the end of the book she realized what she was doing and tried to change that, which I really liked.

At the end of the novel Katrina loved Malcolm even though I never really saw when it happened. I felt that it was something that was missing from the book that influenced how much I liked it. Even though I felt that romance part was missing and that Katrina was at times annoying, I enjoyed this book.
